Manor By The Lake

Probably the town’s most popular of wedding venues, you can hire your own private Manor House and Gardens for a romantic backdrop to celebrate your love. This Victorian manor house has ornately carved wooden panelled rooms, stained glass and grand marble fireplaces. The rooms overlook seven acres of gardens, woodlands and a lake.

The Greenway

With 4AA Silver Stars and awarded the most romantic of wedding venues at The English Wedding Awards 2017 is an Elizabethan Manor House set within eight acres of landscaped grounds. If you want English country romance when declaring your love to each other, this is for you. With only one wedding each day, you have the undivided attention of the dedicated Wedding Coordinator and team.
You can even book exclusive use for the big day for up to 100 guests. This includes access to the 21 bedrooms, Garden Restaurant, Orchard Brasserie, bar with open fireplaces, lounges, spa and gardens.
The night before brides-to-be can relax and be pampered in the hotel spa with a hydrotherapy pool, thermal suites, outdoor hot tub, Champagne nail bar and treatments. If your wedding is in August, the hotel offers a marquee.
The Barn at Upcote
The Barn at Upcote is located close to Cheltenham in the beautiful Cotswold Hills in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The barns are for your exclusive use for the day and contain areas for the ceremony, wedding breakfast, a bar, dancing to a band or DJs, a bridal suite and outdoor seating. There is additional accommodation on-site for up to 8 guests.
The main barn building, the Threshing Barn, is perfect for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, being able to accommodate up to 100 guests, and over 150 guests for the evening entertainment. There is underfloor heating as well as lighting and sound systems. The Sheep Shed contains a well-stocked bar and the Hay Barn is the bridal suite.
Sudeley Castle

Only a limited number of weddings take place at this beautiful and historic castle each year. Of all the wedding venues in Cheltenham, this is the most extravagant. Set in 1,200 acres of country estate, this romantic castle has more than 1000 years of history, having passed through the hands of royalty and now a family home.
A civil ceremony can take place in the small, private library for between 4 and 50 guests. The Terrace Pavilion has stunning views of the Cotswold Hills and can accommodate around 120 guests. The Medieval Banqueting Room can fit 100 wedding ceremony guests. St Mary’s Chapel, dating from the 15th Century is available for a blessing ceremony with around 100 guests. It is in this chapel that King Henry VIII’s loved wife, Katherine Parr, is buried.
There is also accommodation available for up to 50 people in 12 separate cottages, adjacent to the Castle. The gardens are closed to the public between November and March, but exclusive use outside these times can be arranged. Helicopter landings are by appointment.
Cheltenham Racecourse
One of the largest romantic wedding venues, The Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse is a naturally occurring amphitheatre that can hold a wedding for up to 700 guests. The racecourse also hosts more intimate weddings, including use of the lovely Panoramic on the fifth level of the Grandstand, with views over the racecourse. The room features an adjacent bar and toilets, and is able to seat up to 15 tables of 10 in a long formation. The Racecourse has a dedicated wedding and events team in-house so that you can have your very own Coordinator and Banqueting Manager.
