15-hour marathon Ceroc dance event to take place at the Brewery
Cheltenham is set to be the venue for one of the UK’s most talked about Ceroc events in 2011 in aid of Gloucestershire based Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC).
This Saturday 2nd April 2011, the town will be rocking to the Ceroc beat thanks to Ceroc instructor Lisa Wilde. By day Lisa heads up Cheltenham’s award-winning hairdressing salon Francesco Group, by night she lets her hair down and puts on her dancing shoes.
Lisa will be the star of the show as she attempts to dance non-stop Ceroc for an amazing 15 hours! From 6am - 6pm, Lisa will be performing here at The Brewery (and will continue dancing for a further three hours at Pitville Pump Rooms) and invites all Ceroc enthusiasts to come along and join in.
During the day there will also be Flash Mob dancing around town and anyone who would like to join in can sign up for some free lessons from Lisa in advance and call Lisa on 07889 740355. A film clip teaching the flash mob routine can be viewed here on youtube .
After 6pm, Lisa will dance off onto a carnival float that will take her to Pitville Pump Rooms (still dancing!) when her marathon dance will end at 9pm - but the party will continue!
At Pitville Pump Rooms, Lisa’s team from Francesco Group will be doing free hairstyles from 7pm, and there will be a mini Ceroc class for beginners between 8pm and 8.30pm. Then it’s Ceroc freestyle all the way with music from Cheltenham’s very own Chip Shop Boys, plus other special live music guests. Tickets cost just £10 for the evening event and are available from LINC. Call 08454 224422 or email linc@glos.nhs.uk .

Lisa said: “I want to share my passion for Ceroc with as many people as possible, it’ll be a fantastic day and we hope to raise a lot of money for LINC. I’d like to thank The Brewery very much for supporting this event.”
