Bones to the Stones BREAKDANCING COMPETITION
Join Soopa J of the Scarecrows Crew in checking out some of Cheltenham's hottest new talent in a 4 hour dance off! On Saturday 21st August from 12pm -4pm, B-boys and B-girls will be fighting it out one on one in 16 different heats, for a chance to win some top prizes for their fantastic break dancing moves.
Look out for some of the coolest street dance moves around, with high energy and slick moves including head spins and back flips. There will be top performances from break dancers and body poppers throughout the day to the soundtrack of hip hop, beat boxing, funk, soul and breaks. Dancers will be judged on their footwork, charisma, musicality, speed and technique.
Breakdancing, also known as b-boying, originated on the street as part of hip-hop culture among African Americans in New York and involved moves such as Top Rock, Power Moves and Freezes.
