FREE EVENTS: Cheltenham Literature Festival 
comes to the Brewery
Saturday 10th and Saturday 17th October 2009
11am-5pm
As proud sponsors of the Cheltenham Literature Festival 2009, the Brewery is delighted to host a whole variety of events each Saturday throughout the Literature Festival. From 11am til 5pm there will be performers, entertainers and activities on site, all absolutely free for visitors to the Brewery. See below for the treats on offer each Saturday throughout the festival, live here at the Brewery.
Voices Off - Live literature at a the Brewery
Voices off is about literature that’s alive – fun, exciting, different, quirky, eccentric, inspiring. Sometimes the Festival fringe, other times more mainstream – voices off is truly indefinable! With its unique identity and maverick style, it’s a performance programme that occupies a special place at the heart of the Festival. Check out the prize poets, stunning storytellers, adventurous authors and thrilling thespians appearing in a variety of venues and make up your own mind!
Word On The Street
A fantastic free-for-all around the town on each Saturday of the Festival! Roving minstrels, transcontinental troubadours, wacky wordsters, street theatre, dancers, circus artistes, musicians, stiltwalkers – words are on the move so get into the groove!
Free Speech
It’s loud, it’s exciting and it’s all happening over at the voices off Stage! A plethora of poets and performers entertain the crowds and YOU on the hour from 11am – 5pm. Make sure you clock them!
What's on offer...
Sample a lunar scribble-nibble from Thom Moon 10 . He’s a one-man intergalactic festival, so don’t miss his uni-verse!
Engage the verse-services of Emergency Poet On Call Marcus Moore . Look out for his trademark top hat and tails in Dwell at 11.30am and Habitat at 12.30pm!
Let vision-in-pink chanteuse Sally Crabtree serenade you while you recline under her copper poet-tree. She’ll be in Dwell at 1.30pm. Lovely!
Don’t miss the unpredictable mayhem of cling-film guy Gareth Jay as he demonstrates alternative ways of using cellophane…
Hollie McNish , Rachel Pantechnicon , Simon Lee , Johnny Fluffy Punk , Ash Dickinson and Spoz – brilliant performance poets taking the page to the stage!
Catch street dancers CoadyCrew and Sculpture Motion performing their own style of moves and grooves!
Word On The Street artistes will be entertaining the crowds at The Centaur over the course of the weekend!
